Piza de Pöz / Cima Puez / Puez Spitze

Anche se con un po' meno neve dello scorso anno (confrontate foto e video) questa escursione scialpinistica è un 'MUST' per me, da fare almeno una volta all'anno sia con gli sci in estate che a piedi in inverno. Anche perchè posso partire ed arrivare direttamente dalla porta di casa. Ecco un po' di immagini:

With some less snow than last year (compare with last years pictures and video) this is a skirando excursion that is a 'MUST' for me, to be done at least once each winter with ski's and in summer (without ski's of course). Well I can can start and finish this loop directly from my house door. Here a few images:

Con un po' di zoom si puó vedere bene l'ultima parte della salita verso la Cima Puez, nell'angolo basso a sinistra si possono notare persone che ancora salgono verso la cima.

Croda Ciamin & Sas dla Para

Dopo aver rosicato d'invidia per tutta la scorsa settimana vedendo Alberto De Giuli che stava divertendosi nel mio parco giochi preferito, finalmente anche per me una giorna.... ehmmm mattinata libero da impegni lavorativi e con tempo spettacolare per un'escursione scialpinistica DOP.

Anche se è ormai un mese che non ha fatto una nevicata abbondante ho trovato un manto nevoso fantastico con lunghi tratti di puro powder.

Partenza dal Rifugio Pederü per poi salire in direzione della Valle del Fanes. Nei pressi del Lè Piciodel impennata sulla sinistra per raggiungere la Forcella di Croda Ciamin e giú in discesa per il Vallon Bianco.

A questo punto non ne avevo abbastanza e quindi sono ripartito in salita verso il Sas dla Para, dove giá dai piedi dello stesso potevo intravedere delle linee in discesa ancora vergini. Quindi altra mezz'oretta in salita e poi dalla cima super discesona all'inizio su fondo battuto e duro ma poi, come la ciliegina sulla torta, di nuovo polvere fino a raggiungere il Rifugio Fodara Vedla per poi finire la discesa di nuovo al punto di partenza al Rifugio Pederú.

Antersasc Ski Rando training loop

I don't remember anymore last time I did the Antersasc loop alone. Well maybe for safety reasons it is not good to do it alone, but avalanche risk was low and I just wanted again to see how long I take, starting from home, to do the full loop. At the end the time on my watch stopped at 3 hours 14 minutes. Not bad, considering I took some time to take some pictures too:

Non mi ricordo più l'ultima volta che ho fatto il giro dell Antersasc da solo. Onestamente, sarebbe meglio mai andare da soli in certe zone per motivi di sicurezza, ma il pericolo valanghe era basso e volevo vedere, quanto ci avrei messo, a fare tutto il giro partendo da casa. Alla fine il cronometro si é fermato a 3 ore e 14 minuti. Non male visto che mi sono preso il tempo di fare anche qualche foto:

Col de Lasta m. 2327

After 2 snowy days, the avalanche risk was pretty high so we just decided to do a little ski rando excursion up to the Sennes Natural Park from Pederü. Clear sky, cold, and a lot of snow up high. At least 30 cm fresh powder in some places.

Tour de Sas reconaissance

It was around one month that I was waiting to go on the new Tour de Sas skirando racing course with a couple of friends. So after a really early bell ring nothing could stop me this time.

In the new course, there are two hiking spots and couloirs that honestly, I didn't know we could be able to hike up and ski down in a skirando race. The sad news are that we haven't been able to ski it completely. The snow falls of 2 days ago (20 cm) and the wind, packed the last couloir full of unstable snow and so it was to dangerous to continue.

Last year's course was already long and hard, but this year ... WOWWWW! People that exaggerate at the beginning will pay it at a high interest rate after.

Croda Ciamin m. 2605

Today I had the pleasure to do a very nice ski randonee trip with Alberto De Giuli (aka: BG) on the Croda Ciamin in the Sennes Natural Park just a few km away from home.

It was one of those perfect days in the Dolomites. Maybe a little boring (hihi) ... you know ... no clouds in the sky, just that perfect clear blue color. That's why we didn't remain much on the peak, as there was nothing to watch above us, and we had to concentrate on the pow under our ski's (hihi)

Piza de Pöz / Puez Spitze / Cima Puez

It was the perfect day:

weather: superb
temperature: cold enough
snow: powder

So we had to skin up on one of our favourite ski mountaineering tours. Starting from home and doing the full Antersasc-Puez-Ghernacia
loop. But adding to it the Piza de Pöz. So in total it is a 6 hours ski randonneering tour, the whole day kissed by a perfect dolomites weather.

And here are some pictures and a little video that we would like to share with you

My favourite Ski Mountaineering playground

Just one hour uphill skiing with the skins from home and I'm on my favourite skiing playground: the bowls under the Gardenaccia mountain. As every year I have the honour to trace the first lines....yeahhhhh
